Child Protection Policy

Effective date: March 12, 2026 · Last updated: March 12, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Recepto is a social recipe-sharing platform operated by Antigrav, an individual developer based in Bulgaria, European Union. We are committed to providing a safe environment for all users and maintaining a zero-tolerance policy toward any content or behavior that exploits, harms, or endangers children.

This policy explains our age requirements, what content is prohibited, how we moderate the platform, and how to report violations.

2. Age Requirement

Recepto is not directed at children under the age of 13. Users must be at least 13 years old (or the applicable minimum age in their jurisdiction) to create an account and use the Service.

For users in the European Union, the minimum age for consent to data processing is governed by each member state's implementation of GDPR Article 8. Where a member state sets a minimum age higher than 13, we apply that higher age.

We do not offer features specifically designed to attract children, and no part of our platform is intentionally directed at users under 13. Recepto is a general-audience cooking and recipe platform.

3. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited on Recepto and will result in immediate account termination and, where applicable, reporting to law enforcement authorities:

  • Any content that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers minors, including but not limited to child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
  • Content that solicits, grooms, or attempts to establish inappropriate contact with minors.
  • Content that bullies, harasses, or targets minors.
  • Any content that facilitates harm to a child.

Recepto is a recipe and cooking platform. User-generated content is limited to recipes, cooking instructions, and food-related comments. The platform's design and content scope do not provide avenues for inappropriate contact between users.

4. Content Moderation

We employ multiple layers of automated and manual moderation to keep the platform safe:

4.1 Automated Image Moderation

All images uploaded to Recepto — including recipe photos and profile pictures — are automatically scanned by Sightengine, a third-party content moderation API, for nudity, offensive imagery, and other prohibited content before being published. Images that fail moderation are rejected and the user is notified.

4.2 Automated Text Moderation

All user-submitted text (recipe titles, ingredients, preparation steps, comments, and usernames) is checked for profanity and harmful language via automated filtering before publication.

4.3 User Reporting

Any user can report a recipe or user profile that they believe violates our policies, including content that may be harmful to or involve minors. Reports are reviewed by the platform administrator promptly. See Section 5 for how to submit a report.

4.4 Admin Review

All user reports and automated moderation alerts are forwarded to the platform administrator via a private notification channel for human review. Confirmed violations are acted upon within 24 hours of discovery.

5. Reporting Violations

If you encounter any content or behavior that you believe is harmful to or involves a child, please report it immediately using one of the following methods:

  • In-app reporting: Use the flag icon on any recipe or the “Report” link on any user profile within the Recepto app to submit a report directly.
  • In-app feedback: Use Profile → Send Feedback to contact us directly with a description of the issue.
  • Email: Send a detailed description of the violation to [email protected] with the subject line “Child Safety Report”.

Reports relating to child safety are treated as the highest priority and reviewed before all other reports.

If you have reason to believe a child is in immediate danger, please contact your local law enforcement authorities immediately. You may also report child sexual abuse material (CSAM) to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via their CyberTipline at missingkids.org/cybertipline, or to your national authority.

6. How We Respond to Violations

Upon receiving a child safety report or identifying a violation through moderation, we will:

  1. Immediately remove any content identified as harmful to minors pending investigation.
  2. Suspend or permanently ban the account responsible for the violation.
  3. Preserve evidence and cooperate fully with law enforcement and legal authorities if required.
  4. Report confirmed cases of child sexual exploitation material to the NCMEC CyberTipline and relevant local authorities, as required by law.
  5. Notify the reporting user that their report has been received and acted upon, where appropriate.

We aim to review and act on all child safety reports within 24 hours of receipt.

7. Children's Data & COPPA Compliance

We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under the age of 13. We do not have features designed to attract children under 13, and we do not seek to collect personal information from this age group.

If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 13, we will:

  • Immediately delete all personal data associated with that account.
  • Permanently close the account.
  • Notify the parent or guardian if contact information is available.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has created an account or provided personal information to Recepto, please contact us immediately at [email protected]. We will take prompt action to delete the information and close the account.

Recepto complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States and with GDPR Article 8 regarding children's consent to data processing in the European Union.
